Eight Washington Counties Win Manufacturing Community Designation

Eight Washington counties - including Spokane - were awarded the "Manufacturing Community" designation as part of the Investing in Manufacturing Communities Partnership (IMCP) initiative put on by the U.S. Department of Commerce.

 The eight Washington counties make up one of a group of 12 winners that will be given preference for federal grants from a number of federal agencies, including the departments of Transportation, Labor, Defense, Housing and Urban Development, Commerce, Agriculture and the Small Business Administration, among others.
